region had to face the current situation because they were unable to replace employees
that went on retirements or transfers.

are Agortime Ziope, Afadjato South, Central Tongu, Adaklu, Ketu North and
Kadjebi. The Ho Municipal Director of Education doubles as the Regional Director

of the orphan districts.

and supervision have been intensified as part of measures to revive a region
whose academic performance is taking a nose dive.
“It is a big
challenge but I think we are on top and no stone is being left unturned. There are
other unit heads who are helping in the day to day monitoring and supervision of
the school. And so we confident to improve academic performance this year; our target
is 52% “ he said.
He explained
that the current performance rate of 42% is an improvement of previous rates of

He however encouraged teachers in the region
to show commitment in the discharge of their duties and called on parents to take
