Parents abandoned public school

Parents at Ziavi-Lume a town in the Ho Municipality prefer sending their wards to private schools in Ho as the community school, Ziavi Lume LA suffers low enrollment.
This came to light as the member of parliament of Ho Central Hon Benjamin Kpodo went to cut sword for the construction of a six unit classroom block for the school. Members of the community which through their communal labor and contribution started a project to construct an ICT Training Center for the school drew the attention of the mp to help them construct an additional classroom for the school.
Currently total numbers of the pupils in each class are in single digit with some classrooms virtually empty. That notwithstanding the community believes that with the improvement in infrastructure, enrollment would subsequently improve in the school.
The mp reaffirms his commitment to improving upon the educational standard of the constituency and also advised parents to enroll their wards into the school.
