Togbui kweku Ayim IV paramount chief of Ziavi traditional
area and a member of the Asogli state council in the Volta region has made a
passionate appeal to chiefs in the Volta region to make their kingdoms better place
for future successors.
He said over the years chieftaincy in Ghana and Volta region especially has not been an attractive avenue to potential chiefs. He explained that it is not surprising to see potential chiefs running away from being enthroned hence had to be chased. He entreated them to make conditions in their kingdoms better than how they came to meet.

He entreated them to make conditions in their kingdoms better than how they came to meet.
He made this appeal at the annual fundraising durbar of the
royal Akpevi clan held on Saturday 3rd august, 2013. According to
the people of Ziavi, they believe that they could only be helped if they helped
themselves thus over the years they have constructed the road leading to their
town and helped in the extension of the national grid into the township through
communal labor and fundraising.
As they prepare for this year’s Dututudoza(development
festival) which comes off on the 7th of December nothing could be
welcoming than raising funds towards the festival and also continue their
development agenda.
Present at the ceremony were the chiefs and elders of the Ziavi
community and the nearby communities, the DCE of Ho West Hon Sammy Ewoade who
also was the Volta regional minister’s representative. Hon Sammy Ewoade assured
the people on governments efforts to develop the country and also admonished
the youth to stay focused and desist from excessive alcohol intake.
The durbar was climax with culture displays amidst singing
and dancing.
