President John Dramani Mahama
will end his nationwide #ChangingLives tour with a two day visit to the Volta
Region beginning today [Wednesday].
The tour which started last
month, was to give the President an opportunity to visit and meet businesses
and other stakeholders in all ten regions, to discuss government policies and
programmes as well commission projects under his transformation agenda.
The president earlier visited
Western, Central, Eastern, Ashanti, Brong-Ahafo, and the three Northern
Regions, before heading to the Greater Accra Region.
As part of his two day tour
in the Volta Region, the President will on Wednesday commission an SHS E-Block
at Nkwanta and make a stopover at Jasikan to inspect progress of work on the
eastern corridor road.
A statement from the Regional
Secretary of the party Simon Amegashie Viglo, stated that President Mahama
after paying a courtesy call on the Regional House of Chiefs in Ho on Thursday,
and move to Sokode to commission the permanent campus of the University of
Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS).
The statement further said
the tour would be heralded by a rally at the Jubilee Park to launch the “Volta
Gap One Million Votes” agenda.
