Fishermen along the Ghana-Togo shores were thrown into a
state of shock and pity on Wednesday when there fishing net caught the lifeless
body of a young man drown in the sea.
Narrating the incident to citinews, an eyewitness Mcthompson
Gbeti said the fisher folks on Wednesday afternoon were hauling their net when
they realized the net was so heavy that they hardly could draw it into the
boat. ‘’After persistent drawing, they were marveled by a lifeless body in the
net’’ he said.
The gruesome discovery drew attention of some travelers along
the Ghana-Togo border who rushed to catch a glimpse.
The deceased is yet to be identified. Though it is unclear
how he got drown in the sea the fishermen believed he might got drown in the
morning as his body still looks fresh.
The body has been conveyed by security officials at the Togo
side of the border to the Hospital morgue for autopsy and further
investigations.
