MOB ATTACK ON SUSPECTED GAY STUDENTS AT ST. PAUL'S SHS LEADS TO DEATH OF ONE STUDENT






St Paul’s Senior High School at Denu in Volta Region has been closed down following a riot last night which led to the death of one student with several others injured.
The students were allegedly protesting against the police's attempts to protect two of their colleagues whom they accused of engaging in sodomy.
According to one of the teachers, the students claimed they had caught two of their colleagues having gay sex insisted on delivering an instant justice of beating them.The school authorities after several failed attempts to control the students called in the police.
‘’These boys said they wouldn’t agree because the teachers have not been doing anything to students practicing gayism in the school’’, said the teacher who spoke on anonymity.
Immediately the police carrived at the school, the students started throwing stones at them.
The presence of the police made matters worse as students were seen destroying school properties, succeeded in blocking access to the major roads as well as burning lorry tyres after firing a warning shot.
The two suspects; a first and second year male students were allegedly seen caressing and then after having anal sex.
Some of the students who spoke to Citi News said they were compelled to immediately penalize their their colleagues because the school authorities have been condoning such acts in the school.
‘’The school is ready to penalize us when we wear unsubscribed attires but fails to apply the rules when other colleagues engage in sodomize,’’ one student said.
Some of the students have also accused the police of having a hand in their colleague’s death. They claim the police came opening fire on them and one of the stray bullets hit their colleague.
According to Ketu South Police, Commander Superintendent Augustine Luguyare, who confirmed the incident said doctors are yet to conduct an autoposy to tell the cause of death. He assured the public that measures are being put in place to prevent further violence. He however denied the police hand in the death.
The deceased, Adio Rakhib, was a first year student of the school.
For now one knows the whereabout of the boy alleged to be having gay sex.
